Come join us for an enjoyable day and visit the prestigious wine vineyards of El Principal and Almaviva in the Maipo Valley, just south of Santiago.  Relax and enjoy their award-winning wines with a gourmet lunch at Hussonet Restaurant at Haras de Pirque Vineyard with amazing views of the Andes Mountains!

First stop, Viña El Principal, an acclaimed boutique winery located at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Founded in 1993 as a partnership between Jorge Fontaine and French winemaker Jean Paul Valette (former owner of Château Pavie), it is highly celebrated for producing premium, estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon blends that showcase a unique mountain terroir.

The “El Principal” Tour is the ideal opportunity to delve deeper into wine culture, merging learning and sophistication.  This unique experience combines in-depth knowledge of the vineyard’s processes, as well as a tasting of four premium wines: Kiñe, Calicanto, Memorias, including the award-winning “El Principal” paired with gourmet cheeses.

After the visit to Viña El Principal, it is time for lunch at Hussonet Restaurant at Haras de Pirque Vineyard. Designed by Enrique Concha, it is an intimate and cozy space that invites you to connect with nature, taste elegant wines of origin and enjoy gourmet dishes that focus on harmony and fresh seasonal flavors.  You will enjoy a three-course culinery experience paired with the vineyard’s fine wines while taking in breathtaking views of the Maipo Valley and Andes Mountains.

Then, you will visit the second vineyard of the day, Viña Almaviva, a world-renowned, ultra-premium winery established in 1997 as a high-profile joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild (owners of Château Mouton Rothschild) and Viña Concha y Toro, creating the first exceptional “Franco-Chilean” wine under the classic French Château concept in Chile.

Embark on an enchanting journey through the vineyard with an exclusive tasting experience. Savor the unique profiles of two vintages of Almaviva alongside a distinguished selection of EPU. Your visit includes a guided tour of the picturesque vineyard, where you will learn about their meticulous cultivation practices and the passion that goes into every bottle.   • A 5% booking fee is applied to all purchases.
  • There is a two-person minimum per booking.
  • An additional fee applies for pick up from Santiago International Airport (USD 80 for up to 4 guests / USD 150 for 5 guests or more).
  • An additional fee may apply for tours starting and/or terminating in another city other than Santiago.
  • El Principal Vineyard requires payment in full 60 days prior to the visit date and has a no-refund policy in case of cancellation.  Therefore, no refund will be issued for the cost of the winery tour and tasting at El Principal Vineyard (approximately USD 90 per person), once payment is made.
